Tamil Nadu Weather: Chennai Braces For Intense Rain; Heavy Showers Forecast For Coimbatore, Ranipet, Vellore Today

Tamil Nadu Weather: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu from October 26 amid the formation of another low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.

On Friday, heavy showers are expected to lash the Western Ghats region and Tamil Nadu districts including Ranipet and Vellore.

Chennai Weather

Heavy rain has been forecast for Chennai and its surrounding districts, including Ranipet and Villupuram till October 28. Multiple areas in Tamil Nadu witnessed intense rain on Thursday. Arakonam in Ranipet district recorded the highest rainfall. Meanwhile, light rain occurred in Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Krishnagiri, and Kanniyakumari districts.

Tamil Nadu Weather Forecast

October 24: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Nilgiris, Erode, Vellore, Tirupattur, Ranipet and Ghat areas of Coimbatore districts.

October 26: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Tiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Ranipet, Villuppuram districts and Puducherry.

October 27 And 28: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Chennai and Ranipet districts.

During all the days, thunderstorms and lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
