According to IMD, during the next 24 hours, there is a chance of isolated heavy rain showers over the districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu.
Additionally, there is a good chance that many locations over these districts will see moderate rain, light thunderstorms, and lightning.

Following a well-defined low-pressure area that consolidated into a depression over the southeast and bordered the Southwest Bay of Bengal on Friday, heavy rain fell in several parts of the city.
A cyclonic storm has been predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to pass through South Andhra Pradesh and the neighboring North Tamil Nadu coast, between Chennai and Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh, on the evening of December 4.
Furthermore, since Saturday morning, there has been heavy rainfall throughout Tiruvallur, particularly in the coastal regions of Palaverkadu, Ponneri, Gummidipoondi, Periyapalayam, Sholavaram, and other places, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai.
