Tamil Nadu Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for eight districts in southern Tamil Nadu on Tuesday as a strengthening low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal continues to influence the region’s weather.

The IMD also forecasts the development of a second low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal on November 22, which is likely to move west-northwestward and intensify within 48 hours, bringing more rainfall to Tamil Nadu in the coming days. Chennai is expected to see moderate showers today due to sustained moisture flow from the Bay of Bengal.
