Thieves robbed Rs 1 crore from the house of a relative of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Sushil Diwan, a businessman and trade leader who runs the Mangalam Saree showroom, resides with his family at Shreeji Shivasa Estate on Govardhan Road in the Highway Police Station area. On Tuesday morning, he went with his family to participate in the Govardhan Seva and Bhandara. When they returned around 5 PM, they found that the main door of the house and the locks on the rooms had been broken. The thieves had stolen jewelry and cash worth one crore rupees that were kept in the safe. The thieves used an unnumbered i-20 car for the crime.

Taking note of the incident, the SSP has assigned six teams to probe the incident. The police are focusing on tracking down an unnumbered car through CCTV footage. Meanwhile, police teams are working on identifying two notorious criminals captured in the footage. Interrogations are also underway with the businessman's servant and close associates. Some suspicious individuals have been taken into custody.

The police also interrogated a staff member named Pinto, who works at the house. One of the police teams is focused on reviewing CCTV footage. So far, dozens of CCTV clips have been examined. Based on this footage, the police are searching for the unnumbered car used in the crime.

Businessman Sushil Diwan filed a complaint at the Highway Police Station, stating that on Tuesday morning, he went to Govardhan for a service and Bhandara event with the Govardhan Cloth Traders Association. During his absence, thieves broke into his house, broke open the lock of a metal safe, and stole jewelry and cash. The stolen items included five gold collar sets, six bangles, two bracelets, four chains, twelve rings, three gold coins, one bracelet, one wristwatch, three pairs of earrings, 80 silver coins, 105 grams of gold, and six bundles of 200 rupees and three bundles of 100 rupees. The police have registered an FIR against the unidentified thieves.
