Uttar Pradesh: A 22-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad. The incident occurred just two days before the NEET re-examination scheduled for June 21.

22-Year-Old NEET Aspirant Found Dead
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Jatin Kumar, a resident of H-Block in Vijay Nagar, who was preparing for the medical entrance exam. Speaking to NDTV, his family said that Jatin was awake, studying and walking in his room until around midnight on Thursday. The incident came to light on Friday morning when they went to wake him up and found him dead.
Upon receiving the information, a team from the Vijay Nagar police station and forensic experts rushed to the scene. Investigators revealed that a broken noose was found attached to the ceiling fan, while the victim's body was lying on the floor.
'Thinking Of Doing Something Different Today'
During the investigation, police recovered a one-minute and four-second video from the deceased's mobile phone, allegedly recorded moments before his death. In the video, he shows his study room, points towards a noose hanging from the ceiling fan and says that he was "thinking of doing something different today."
According to the police, Jatin stated in the video that he was not under pressure or stressed about the upcoming NEET exam, adding that his father had advised him not to be tense about the test.
He further mentioned his desire to succeed in the examination, adding that if he did, "people would watch this video" before the recording abruptly ends.

Authorities are currently verifying the authenticity of the video, and an active investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death. Meanwhile, the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
The incident has left Jatin's family devastated. He was the only son of his parents. His father works in a government department, while his mother is a homemaker.
