MahaKumbh 2025: A massive number of devotees are travelling to Uttar Pradesh from different parts of the country to take part in the auspicious MahaKumbh. However, several videos have surfaced on the social media platforms showing the over crowded train coaches. Apart from the general and sleeper coaches, the third-tier coaches are also jam-packed, creating problem for the travellers with tickets.
The coaches are overcrowded because a lot of people are travelling without any ticket. Apart from this, several people with tickets of general coaches and waiting tickets are also travelling in the second and the third-tier coaches.
The videos show these passengers trying to occupy the reserved seats. The passengers are occupying even the seats allocated to the government officials and a lot of them can be seen sitting on the floor and standing in the narrow aisle.

One of the social media user, while sharing the video on Instagram stated that a lot of people are travelling to Prayagraj from Delhi without tickets. The video immediately went viral on the social media platforms as a lot of netizens reacted to it.
The video got mixed reaction from the netizens; while many criticised them for travelling without tickets and causing problem for others, several people urged the ticket-holders to adjust and provide them seats as they are going for a holy cause.

"Zero civic sense, is it something to be proud of?" one of the users pointed out. However, other stated that this is not their problem if they are not able to book the tickets because of lack of trains. Others pointed out that flight tickets are very costly and the number of trains and buses are not enough.
"No action should be taken against the people travelling to Prayagraj. Thoda adjust karo bhai (please adjust)These people are not doing any crime, but are going there to take part in a religious fest," one of the users stated.
