According to police, neighbours alerted the cops after a foul smell emanated from the house. Police came to the site and broke open the door. Police personnel were shocked after seeing three bodies in the house.
Police identified the deceased as Satyaraj, Ponnagutte Nayagi, both in their 30s and their three-year-old Manish. The deceased hailed from Gudiyattam in neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Police said the male person was found hanging, and the woman and child's bodies were lying near the washroom. After the preliminary investigation, police said a bottle of poison was found in the house.
Police said that circumstances suggest that Satyaraj had poisoned his partner and their son before committing suicide. The neighbours told police that the family had not come out of the house since November 22.
Satyaraj Was In Extramarital Affair With Nayagi
Police said in the preliminary investigation they found that Satyaraj left his wife and had an extramarital affair with Nayagi from the same area. They had shifted to Tirupati three months ago. Satyaraj and Nayagi were working as daily wage labourers in the area. Circle Inspector Sunil Kumar said the bodies were shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
