The School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar successfully concluded its Techno-Legal Law Fest – Nyaya Abhyudaya 2025. The valedictory ceremony for the festival was graced by the presence of Justice N Kotiswar Singh, Judge, Supreme Court of India. Justice Ilesh J Vora of Gujarat High Court, Retired Justice Sonia Gokani, Retired Dr Justice KJ Thakar, Retired Justice VP Patel, and Dr JM Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU also graced the event with their inspiring presence.

The Chief Guest for the event, Supreme Court Justice N Kotiswar Singh, also visited various state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities, including Centres of Excellences (CoEs), and he was witnessed with the indigenous products of NFSU. Justice N Kotiswar Singh addressed the gathering. He emphasized the necessity for the law to adapt to the changing needs of the time to maintain its relevance. He said that combining law with scientific precision is needed in the present times and shall guide the future of law. In this regard, he appreciated the efforts made by NFSU in addressing critical and emerging issues in forensics. He highlighted that the law, in isolation, is incomplete. He said that to serve justice, law must collaborate with science and technology. This shall help not only further efficiency but also enable justice.

He began with fondly remembering his earlier visit to the University, and appreciating the variety of academic, research, investigation, training and other essential works undertaken by NFSU. He appreciated the unparalleled vision of Dr JM Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU for making the University unique in the country. He said that competitions like this serve as platforms for the confluence of ideas from various portions of the country, providing opportunities for learning by interactive process.

The valedictory ceremony began with a welcome address by Prof SO Junare, Campus Director, NFSU, Gandhinagar campus. This was followed by the presentation of the event report by Prof Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, NFSU Delhi Campus and Dean, School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies (SLFJPS), NFSU. The event also witnessed the release of the Newsletter of the SLFJPS, and of the NFSU Journal of Law and Artificial Intelligence, and NFSU Journal of Forensic Justice by all the dignitaries.

The law festival comprised two events – 3rd National Technological Moot Court Competition, and the 1st National Trial Advocacy Competition. The two competitions witnessed the participation of 61 teams from across the country.

Dr Justice Kaushal J Thaker, Chairperson, Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, Govt of Gujarat gave the vote of thanks. During the function, Hon'ble Judges, Law Experts and dignitaries from the Law fraternity were present.
