The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced revised toll taxes for the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and NH-9 marking a rise in prices to be implemented from midnight March 31.
The one-way toll journey of cars and jeeps from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut will increase from Rs 165 to Rs 170.
At the Chhijarsi toll plaza on NH-9, cars and jeeps will now have to pay Rs 175 as compared to Rs 170. Light commercial vehicles, other the other hand, will be charged Rs 280 as compared to Rs 270, and buses and trucks will see a hike of Rs 20 to reach Rs 590.
Similarly for four-wheelers, the toll from Ghaziabad to Meerut will be Rs 75 which currently is Rs 70.
Meanwhile, the commercial four-wheelers will see a rise of Rs 10 and will have to pay Rs 275 from March 31.
For six-wheeled vehicles (buses and trucks), the toll will increase from Rs 560 to Rs 580 and for 10-wheeled trucks, it will increase from Rs 610 to Rs 630. The 12-wheeled truck will have to pay Rs 905 instead of Rs 875.
On the Eastern Peripheral Expressway also, all vehicle categories will experience increased tolls. The NHAI has issued a notification regarding the hike. It must be noted that tolls for goods-carrying vehicles with more than seven axles have seen the highest rise, at Rs 590.
