Delhi-Noida Traffic: Several roads connecting Delhi and Noida including Kalindi Kunj carriageway and the Sarita Vihar flyover, witnessed traffic snarls on Monday after traffic diversions were implemented in view of the Kanwar Yatra. Long queues of vehicles were seen in this area during peak hours of the day.
People complained about the inconvenience to the traffic police. Due to the increasing number of Kanwariyas, the part of the bridge coming from Kalindi Kunj, Delhi to Noida has been closed since last Friday. Only one part of the bridge is available for the drivers to pass through. Vehicles ply on the bridge having two lanes. A large number of people from Delhi's Kalindi Kunj, Faridabad, Okhla commute to work in factories and companies, thereby increasing the traffic.
Currently, the road leading to Sector-16 Film City is closed due to construction work near Sector-95 Furniture Market. Drivers have to head towards their destination via Sector-37, Botanical Garden, Sector-18.
Due to the diversion, the movement of vehicles is completely prohibited on the route from Chilla Red Light to Pakshi Vihar Gate. Only those carrying Kanwar and those involved in setting up of camps are allowed to pass through Sector-14A Shani Mandir via Okhla Bird Sanctuary.

Delhi-NoidaTraffic: Office Goers Getting Late
Due to the traffic jam near Kalindi Kunj, many commuters complained that it is taking them a lot of time to reach their office or home every day. A commuter, Vikas Verma said that he usually takes 30 minutes to reach his office, but due to the diversion it takes more than one and a half hours. The daily routine is being affected due to the traffic jam.
Police Commissioner Gautam Buddha Nagar, Laxmi Singh on Monday visited the Shiva Temple at DND to enquire about the well-being of the Kanwariyas. She stressed on the police officers to maintain order in the Kanwar camps and to be extra cautious about traffic.
The number of Kanwariyas passing through the city has started increasing. Police administrative officers are busy in conducting the Kanwar Yatra in a peaceful manner.

Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh inspected the routes to check the arrangements for the Kanwar Yatra. She also encouraged the Kanwariyas to complete the journey safely. The Commissioner also checked the arrangements of CCTV cameras.
She interacted with the medical team appointed in the camps and directed them to take care of the devotees of Lord Shiva. She also urged the police personnel to do continuous patrolling with PCR and PRV vehicles.
