Train Cancellation News: Indian Railways is facing significant delays as dense fog with the onset of winter continue to disrupt train services. Many regular trains are running hours late, causing substantial inconvenience to passengers. In response to the worsening weather conditions, cancellations and reductions in train frequencies remain in place.
The North Eastern Railway (NER) has already reduced the frequency of several key trains, including the 13019 Bagh Express (Howrah Junction to Kathgodam) and the 15074 Triveni Express (Tanakpur to Singrauli), with other services similarly impacted by the adverse weather.
According to a Jagran.com report, the operations of multiple trains, including the Amritsar-Lalkuan Express, have been cancelled due to the severe fog. As winter deepens, the fog has slowed down train speeds, and to ensure safety, increased patrolling has been introduced across the network. To prevent further disruption to mail and express services, several trains have been either cancelled or had their frequencies reduced.
