Farmer's Protest Today: Farmers from across Uttar Pradesh staged a massive protest at the Noida-Delhi border on Monday, demanding fair compensation for lands acquired by the government under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. The agitation began at the Mahamaya Flyover on the Dadri-Noida link road, where hundreds of farmers, carrying banners and flags, raised slogans like “Bol Kisan, Halla Bol” and marched towards Delhi.
The protest march, timed to coincide with the Winter Session of Parliament, faced heavy police barricades along the Noida Link Road. Protesters pushed through or climbed over the initial barriers before being stopped near the Dalit Prerna Sthal, about a kilometre from the Chilla border entry point to Delhi. Senior police officers attempted to pacify the farmers as tensions mounted.
