A shocking case of theft has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district, where a newly married woman allegedly fled with cash and jewellery from her husband’s home just five days after their wedding, NDTV reported.
The incident took place in Basoli village, where the woman reportedly spiked the tea of her in-laws on the night of the robbery. The next morning, the family discovered that Rs 3.15 lakh in cash and valuable jewellery were missing along with the bride herself.
The victim’s family has filed a written complaint with the local police, urging swift action against the accused. Authorities have launched an investigation to track down the woman and recover the stolen valuables.
