In a major development of months ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, prominent UPSC teacher and motivational speaker Avadh Ojha has joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday in presence of the party convenor Arvind Kejriwal. AAP, in a post on microblogging website X informed that Ojha joined the party by getting inspired by the alleged education movement in Delhi from Arvind Kejriwal.

While joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Avadh Ojha said that education is the soul of this country and he has chosen a party which prioritise education. He also stated that his objective is development of education. "I thank Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia for giving me the opportunity to work for education by joining politics. Education is such a medium which is the soul of the family, society and nation. Today, at the beginning of my political innings, I want to share this with you all if I had to choose between politics and education, I would definitely choose education. By joining politics, the development of education is my best objective," Ojha was quoted as saying by ANI.

Who is Avadh Ojha?
Avadh Ojha is one of the most prominent UPSC teachers and teaches students in several cities. He belongs to the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and started his teaching after facing failures in the civil services examinations. He started his coaching in Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh, but gained significant fan following on social media platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic, when offline classes were suspended. He got popularity because of his unique methods of teaching. Ojha teaches History through storytelling and his narration of the historic events did attract thousands of students to his coaching classes. He has taught at many renowned IAS coaching institutes in New Delhi. In 2019, he founded IQRA IAS Academy in Pune, Maharashtra.
