Bengaluru Shocker: A 40-year-old woman accused BJP MLA Munirathna and his associates of gang-raping her, peeing on her face, and injecting her with a fatal virus, prompting police to file a formal complaint against them on Wednesday. According to police, the FIR was filed on Tuesday in response to a BJP worker's complaint at RMC Yard police station.

In her complaint, the woman, who claimed to be a BJP worker, stated that the incident occurred on June 11, 2023, in the MLA's office in Mathikere. The complainant said that his accomplices drove her to his workplace.

The FIR names three accomplices of the MLA engaged in the incident, while the identity of the fourth accused remains unclear.

She said that after arriving at his office, the MLA and two of his accomplices undressed her, despite her protests, and threatened to kill her kid if she did not cooperate. Munirathna then reportedly ordered the two men to rape her, according to the FIR.

The woman further stated that the MLA peed on her face and that an unidentified male entered the room and handed the MLA a white box during the occurrence. She said that he injected her after taking a syringe out of the box. The FIR claims that the MLA threatened to kill her family and not spare them if she told anybody about it.

She was sent to the hospital in January this year and after reportedly receiving a diagnosis of an incurable virus, she related it to the injection incident. Distressed by what had allegedly occurred to her, she reportedly took drugs and became ill on May 19. She then made the decision to inform the police about the matter.

The complainant also recounted an occasion prior to this attack in which the BJP MLA reportedly persuaded people to register fake charges against her at the Peenya and RMC Yard police stations.
