Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with senior officials in Rudraprayag on Tuesday to review the relief and rescue operations on the rain-ravaged Kedarnath trek route. CM  Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the heavy rainfall triggered landslides at 29 locations, severely damaging pedestrian and road routes.

The chief minister inspected the route and said that essential infrastructure, including water and power supply lines, was also affected, along with telecommunication services. "The damage is of large scale," CM Dhami stated, emphasising the extensive impact on the area.

With the rescue operations nearly complete, CM Dhami stated that the focus is now on repairing the damaged infrastructure to resume the pilgrimage to the Himalayan temple.
