Uttarakhand Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain may occur in many areas in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy showers in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital and Bageshwar. Thunderstorms and showers may occur in other districts as well.
A drop of about 2 degrees Celsius was recorded in the maximum temperature in Dehradun. At the same time, there has been a decrease in the mercury in the mountainous regions. Dehradun received torrential rain late on Sunday night. In the last 24 hours, 15.6 mm of rain fell in Dehradun and 17.2 mm in Mussoorie. 72.2 mm of rain fell in Nainital and 17.5 mm in Bhimtal.
There is a possibility of landslides on the Char Dham Yatra routes due to heavy rain. On Tuesday, most parts of the city remained sunny from 11 am to 1:30 pm. There was light rain intermittently throughout the day in Mussoorie. Light rain in many areas of Dehradun in the afternoon brought relief from the heat.
-The maximum temperature of Dehradun was 33.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Pantnagar was 33.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 25.6 degrees Celsius above normal.
-The maximum temperature in Tehri was 25.1 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius below normal, and the minimum temperature was 15.4 degrees Celsius.
-The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 25.3 degrees Celsius, three degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was 17.3 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Center, heavy rainfall may occur in four districts including Dehradun. While moderate rainfall may occur at some places in Pauri, Rudraprayag, Almora, Champawat and Pithoragarh, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar.
