Uttarakhand has been experiencing heavy rainfall, creating disaster across the state. As per the latest weather forecast released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), an orange alert has been issued for five districts in the state while several other districts are expected to witness moderate to light rainfall.
Uttarakhand Weather Today: Fiver District Under Orange Alert
As per the latest weather report by IMD, released at 6 pm on Sunday, five districts have been placed under orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, and lightning at isolated locations in Uttarakhand The districts that have been placed under orange alert are Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Bageshwar.
On the other hand, the remaining parts of the state have been put on yellow alert for Heavy rain, thunderstorm accompanied by Lightning / intense to very intense spell of rain is likely to occur at isolated places.
Uttarakhand Weather Forecast: Orange Alert On Monday
The weather department has issued an orange alert for several districts on Monday as heavy to very heavy rain, Thunderstorm accompanied by Lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand.
On July 8, Heavy rain, thunderstorms accompanied by Lightning, and an intense to very intense spell of rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand, as per the weather forecast. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, and intense spell of rain is likely to occur at isolated places in remaining districts of Uttarakhand.
A yellow alert will remain in place on July 9 and July 10 in multiple districts of the state for heavy rain, Thunderstorm accompanied by Lightning / intense to very intense spell of rain.
