Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that almost all the districts of Uttarakhand will witness rainfall in the upcoming days. Earlier on Tuesday, the residents got relief from the scorching heat after rainfall reduced the temperature by around five degrees Celsius. Along with rain, most of the regions are also expected to witness lightning and strong surface winds. The IMD has advised the residents and the tourists to follow the guidelines and limit their outings.
Yellow Alert For Multiple Districts
As per the weather department, light to moderate rainfall is expected in several districts on Wednesday, including Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. Along with rainfall, these regions are also expected to witness thunderstorms and strong winds. The rainfall is likely to reduce temperature, providing relief from heat in the plain regions.
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for these districts, further warning that the continuous rainfall is also likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions. The meteorological department has also warned of gusty winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The tourists have also been advised to stay updated and plan their days accordingly to avoid inconveniences.
Rain Likely In Dehradun
The capital city, Dehradun, is also likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in the next few days. While the maximum temperature is expected to be calculated at 35 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 21 degrees Celsius.

Earlier on Tuesday, the weather department stated that the southwest monsoon is likely to arrive in Kerala within the next two to three days. In view of this, the IMD has issued an alert for rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds of up to 80 km/h, across several states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
