An FIR was lodged against unidentified individuals for posting "objectionable" videos featuring Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media. The incident was brought to attention by Neha Singh Rathore, who shared the video from her X account @imrowdy_rathore on Tuesday.
Neha Singh Rathore, who identifies as a nationalist and social activist, condemned the use of edited videos involving prominent figures to gain cheap popularity. She particularly criticised the portrayal of Yogi Adityanath, stating that his efforts for women's empowerment in Uttar Pradesh were being disrespected.
The X user also posted a video showing Mahatma Gandhi, PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath dancing and singing with a woman to a Bhojpuri song, raising questions about the Ballia police's inaction. Police are currently investigating the matter, with legal action expected to follow.
