Viral video: How would you react when you see someone lying on a track as a train pass through it? You must be shocked. Something similar happened in Kerala's Kunnur where a man was seen lying on the tracks to save himself from an oncoming high-speed train, narrowly escaping death. The video is now going viral on social media.
The video shows the person near Kannur lying down on the tracks as a train passes over him. He stays completely still, and once the train has passed, he stands up and walks away unharmed.
According to the information received, the incident took place on Monday at around 5 PM between Kannur and Chirakkal railway stations when the Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram train passed through the area.
After the video went viral on social media, the railway police identified the person as 56-year-old Pavithran, who is said to have a "short height". A railway police officer reported that Pavithran's statement has been filed.

"We were also shocked to see the video. He survived because of his small stature," the police officer told PTI.
As the video went viral, rumours spread that a drunk man was lying on the tracks and later left.
