Kunal Kamra-Shinde Row: Amid an ongoing political row over Kunal Kamra's political satire, the comedian on Thursday expressed his frustration with the mainstream media, labeling them as "vultures" and "mouthpiece of the ruling party". While accusing them of media-trials, Kamra claimed that the media is involved in spreading misinformation and is distracting people from pressing issues.

"To all those hounding for a quote - "The mainstream media at this point is nothing but a miscommunication arm of the ruling party. They are vultures who report on issues that don't matter to the people of this country. If they all shut shop from tomorrow till eternity, they will be doing a favour to the country, its people, & their own children," Kamra posted on X.

The remarks from Kamra came after he reportedly felt that the mainstream media was spreading propaganda against him in the political satire row. Apart from the "traitor" jab at Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Kamra dropped a parody song on Wednesday in which he targeted Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, further accusing the BJP of "tanashahi" (dictatorship).

The video was released by the comedian even as Mumbai police issued him a second summons, rejecting his request for a week's time to appear for questioning. Apart from this, Maharashtra minister Shambhuraj Desai slammed Kamra for his video, adding that Shiv Sainiks will teach him a lesson.

"Kunal Kamra has crossed all limits; the water has gone above the head, and now it's time to give him 'Prasad.' Wherever he's hiding, we will drag him out. Kamra needs to face the consequences of his actions," Desai was quoted as saying by ANI.

"Our Shiv Sainiks have already shown their anger by visiting his studio after his first video. Kamra's actions are deliberate, and now it's time for him to get the 'Prasad' of Shiv Sena in our own style. We are MLAs, ministers, but first and foremost, we are Shiv Sainiks, and our patience is running out," he added.
