Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe heat alert for parts of North India, especially Uttar Pradesh. Due to the western disturbance, rain is likely in the mountains in the coming days, jagran.com reported. In the last 24 hours, there was heavy rain in some parts of Andhra Pradesh. Hailstorms were witnessed in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Telangana. During this time, strong winds were experienced in Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Surendranagar in Gujarat recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius in the country. On 24 March, most parts of peninsular India experienced thunderstorms and lightning.

Weather Alert: Two Western Disturbances Are Active
At present two western disturbances are active. The first western disturbance is over Jharkhand and Bihar, while the second western disturbance is active near Qatar. Due to these, there is a possibility of rain once again in the western Himalayan region by March 27.
Thunderstorms with strong winds with speeds of 30 to 50 kmph are likely at many places over peninsular India on March 25. Heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on March 26 and 27 and for Arunachal Pradesh on March 28.
Many places in the plains of North West India may see a rise in temperature by two to three degrees during the next two days. However, Uttar Pradesh is going to be very hot. The temperature here may rise by 4 to 6 degrees in the next four days.
In West India and Northeast India, the temperature will increase by 4 to 6 degrees in the next 4-5 days. In Central India and Maharashtra, the temperature may increase by 2 to 4 degrees in 4 to 5 days. On the other hand, there will be no significant change in temperature in Gujarat in the next 24 hours.
Delhi Weather
Delhi residents will have to face warm conditions on March 25, Tuesday, as the temperature in the national capital is likely to touch 38 degrees Celsius. As per the weather body, mercury can go up to 39 degrees Celsius in the next two days. At the same time, the temperature in Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram is also likely to reach 36-37 degrees Celsius. Amidst this increasing heat, people should avoid going out during the afternoon and drink enough water. There are signs of relief from March 27, when strong winds will blow and the temperature will start dropping.
