Yamuna Expressway To Link Noida, Vrindavan, Aligarh: The Uttar Pradesh government will build a heritage corridor in Mathura, like UP’s Ayodhya and Kashi. As part of the project, the Yamuna Expressway will connect two more cities, Mathura and Aligarh in its route now. The expressway is famous for making travel smoother as well as faster between Noida and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Along the way, the Yamuna Expressway will connect to the Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura, also known as Brij Bhoomi.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Industrial Development Department, shared that the Uttar Pradesh government has given its approval to the project. “Now, It’s Mathura’s turn,” wrote Alok Kumar on X, formerly Twitter, while sharing the news with the public. As per Alok’s post, a six-lane expressway will be built for connecting the Mathura temple to the expressway. It is expected to boost tourism to the religious city.
“The Phase 2 master plan of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh government. This will greatly benefit Aligarh and Mathura districts! The way has been cleared for the Chief Minister's ambitious plan to connect Banke Bihari Ji's temple with the Yamuna Expressway through a 6-lane expressway and to build heritage corridors on both its sides,” he added in his post.
