Weather Alert: After wreaking havoc across various states in the past few months, the monsoon has begun retreating from North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in parts of Odisha and Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. A yellow alert has also been issued for several states, including Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Assam.

10 Killed In Kolkata Rains

Heavy rains in West Bengal’s capital Kolkata resulted in the deaths of 10 people. As a precautionary measure, the state government has ordered schools and colleges to remain closed. There is a possibility of low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday, September 25, due to which there may be torrential rains in multiple districts.

Orange Alert In Odisha, Jharkhand And Chhattisgarh

IMD has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. In Jharkhand, several districts, including Ranchi, are particularly likely to experience heavy rainfall.

Uttarakhand Sees Relief From Rain

With the monsoon's departure, Uttarakhand is witnessing some relief from the rain. Many areas, including Dehradun, saw temperatures exceeding 34 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

UP-Bihar Weather

Uttar Pradesh will face humid conditions for the next two days. Clear weather is expected on September 24 and 25. However, the weather is expected to change from September 26. During this time, heavy rains may occur in some parts of eastern UP.

Temperatures will remain high in Bihar's Patna, Nawada, Begusarai, Jehanabad, Siwan, Saran, and Samastipur. However, IMD has forecast light rain in some areas of Bihar.

Delhi Weather

As per IMD, Delhi and surrounding areas will see no rain activity for the next three days, with temperatures expected to hover between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
