Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a generally cloudy sky with light rain or thunderstorms for Delhi on Tuesday, with maximum temperatures reaching 36 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures dropping to 25 degrees Celsius. This weather pattern is expected to continue over the next week. On Monday, Delhi experienced light rain, which helped reduce the maximum temperature to 35.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature rose to 29 degrees Celsius. Safdarjung, the city's primary weather station, recorded 2.7 mm of rain, while other observatories reported higher rainfall: Pusa (35 mm), the Ridge (37.2 mm), and Palam (31.8 mm).
Rain Alert In THESE States
The IMD has issued a rain alert for several North Indian states, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rain is predicted in these areas within the next 24 hours. Additionally, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, parts of central Maharashtra, and northern interior Karnataka may experience moderate to heavy rains, with very heavy rains in some places.

According to the meteorological department, the monsoon line is currently passing through several key areas including Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, Hisar in Haryana, Delhi, Barabanki in UP, Dehri on Son in Bihar, Asansol in West Bengal, and towards the Bay of Bengal. Cyclonic circulations over North Gujarat and Jharkhand are also expected to bring rain to these regions.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected across regions from Rajasthan to West Bengal for the next four to five days. Some areas in eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand might experience very heavy rains until July 19, while heavy rains are anticipated in western Uttar Pradesh on July 17 and 18.

South-West India Weather Update
In South-West India, light to moderate rains are forecasted for Kerala, Vidarbha, and Marathwada with some areas experiencing heavy rains. Heavy rains are anticipated in several districts of Telangana, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
