Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several northern states are likely to witness a cold wave for the next few days. The weather department asserted that the minimum temperature in multiple states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, is set to remain between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius. These states are also set to witness dense fog, especially in the morning hours, disrupting the flight and train services. The hilly regions are set to receive fresh snowfall in the upcoming days, along with a cold wave. The weather department has advised the residents and tourists to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update
The weather department stated that the national capital is likely to witness dense fog, leading to inconveniences for the daily commuters. While the maximum temperature on December 28 is likely to be calculated at 22 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature will remain around 7 degrees Celsius.
Cold Wave Alert For UP, Bihar
Several districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are set to witness a further drop in the minimum temperature in the upcoming days. The minimum temperature is likely to be calculated between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius, leading to inconveniences for the farmers. The train and flight services for these states are likely to be disrupted for the next few days.
Fresh Snowfall In J-K
The IMD stated that several regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh are set to witness fresh snowfall in the upcoming days. Fresh snowfall in regions, including Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Shimla, is attracting tourists, but there is a risk of avalanches in the upper regions.
Apart from this, the southern states are also likely to witness light rain and a drop in temperature in the upcoming days.
