Weather Update:  Different scenes of weather are being observed in every corner of the country these days. While there is cold weather in the mountains due to snowfall, several states, including north India, are reeling under either heat or rain. The national capital has started experiencing a heatwave as the temperature in Delhi reached up to 38 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. This was the hottest day of the season in the national capital. As per the weather department, a bit of respite from the scorching heat is expected in Delhi and several states in the coming days.

These States To Get Relief From Heatwave:  

In Delhi, the wind is likely to blow at the speed of 25 to 35 kilometres per hour on April 13th and 14th, accompanied by light rain and thunder.

Meanwhile, a slight downpour is expected in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh on April 10th. Additionally, during the period from April 13th to 16th, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder in Northwest India.

Delhi Weather:

According to the weather department, Wednesday will see partly cloudy skies in Delhi. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be 19 degrees Celsius. The weather department says that the western disturbance effect will increase from the evening of April 12th.

Heatwave Alert:

In the early weeks of April, the onset of heat waves has been observed in many parts of the country. The weather department has issued alerts for heatwave-like conditions in several parts of central and southern India. Increasing temperatures and heatwaves have led to a rise in deaths in the country in recent years. Several scientific reports confirm that diseases such as heatstroke, heart attacks, brain haemorrhage, and unconsciousness have increased due to heat waves.

The weather department has launched a heatwave index. This will keep people informed about how dangerous the current level of heat is.

March 2024 Warmest Month Till Date:

The European Union's climate agency said on Tuesday that due to the combined effects of El Nino conditions and human-induced climate change, the world experienced its warmest March month to date. As a result, this marks the 10th consecutive month since last June when temperatures have set a new record.
