Weather Update: Different parts of India are witnessing fluctuating weather conditions; for instance, Delhi enjoyed rain with strong winds, while some parts of Bengal struggled with scorching weather. The latest IMD forecast indicates varied weather conditions, with UP and Bihar to endure persistent hot weather. 

Delhi-NCR experienced relief from the heat as rain lashed many areas on Saturday. The weather in the region had been pleasant for several days before the rain.

The India Meteorological Department predicted partly cloudy skies on Saturday, with a possibility of light rain. Winds were expected to blow at speeds of 10-20 km/h, potentially reaching up to 30 km/h. According to Meteorologist Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, the next five days would see light to moderate clouds, with possibilities of strong winds, thunderstorms, and dust storms accompanying light rain, Jagran.com reported.

Heatwave In UP And Bihar

In contrast, UP and Bihar continued to grapple with intense heat, recording a rise in temperature over the last 24 hours. The maximum humidity percentage was 55 per cent, exceeding the normal 40 per cent.

Rajasthan Weather Forecast

Rajasthan witnessed a change in weather on Saturday afternoon, with heavy rains in districts like Kota, Chittorgarh, and Bharatpur. The state remained cloudy throughout the day. The Meteorological Department predicted rain with dusty winds in 30 districts on Sunday and 27 districts on Monday.

Impact Of Western Disturbance On Weather

The recent spell of rain and dusty winds was attributed to the activation of the Western Disturbance, which led to a drop in temperature. However, this disturbance is expected to weaken from May 13, resulting in increased heat.

Arrival Of Monsoon

In a positive development for the Indian economy and farmers, the Meteorological Department predicted the Southwest Monsoon's entry into Kerala's coastal areas on May 27, three days earlier than last year. This forecast brings hope for a timely monsoon season.
