Weather News:  Heavy rain is expected in numerous states on Wednesday, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Due to the severe downpours today, the weather forecasting department has also issued a yellow warning for Delhi and Mumbai.

“Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls (≥ 20 cm) very likely at isolated places over Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat state; Heavy to very heavy rainfall (≥ 12 cm) likely at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha,” IMD said in its latest weather bulletin.

Rain Alert In Delhi

A "yellow" alert, indicating moderate to heavy rainfall in numerous districts of Delhi over the next two days, was issued by the weather forecasting office on Tuesday. On Wednesday, July 24, the nation's capital is expected to have light rains along with highs and lows between 34 and 26 degrees Celsius.

“Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with light thunderstorm and lightning is very likely to occur at North Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, South-West Delhi , NCR ( Gurugram, Manesar) Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Rajaund, Assandh, Safidon, Panipat,” wrote Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, Delhi on X.

Mumbai Weather

The city will continue to get moderate to heavy rains on Wednesday, July 24. A high tide of 4.07 metres was forecast by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday, July 24, at 1:30 AM. District forecast and warning advisory from the Mumbai Regional Meteorological Department say that the state capital would be under a yellow alert, with isolated areas possibly seeing heavy rainfall. Following the meteorological service's orange alert for the maximum city on Monday, the civic body of Mumbai was put on high alert.
