Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the northern states are set to witness dense fog and lowered temperature for at least the next five days. The weather department stated that the hilly states are not likely to witness fresh snowfall; however, the cold wave is likely to persist. The tourists have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. The presence of dense fog, especially in the early hours, has severely affected the train and flight services. The weather department asserted that the southern states are also set to witness a cold wave and fog for the next few days.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update
The weather department has stated that the national capital and other nearby cities are set to witness dense fog for the next few days. The flights to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) and the train services to Delhi have been disrupted due to the fog, leading to inconvenience to the passengers. The health ministry has stated that the air quality is not likely to severely improve, further suggesting the residents limit their outdoor activities.
Dense Fog In Bihar, UP
The IMD has informed that several parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are set to witness dense fog in the morning hours for the next few days. While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi, are also set to witness a cold wave. The temperature in these districts is likely to stay around 5 to 6 degrees Celsius.
J-K, Himachal To Witness Cold Wave
The hilly regions are not likely to witness fresh snowfall in the upcoming days; however, the residents are set to witness a severe cold wave. The tourists have been advised to stay updated and avoid going to the higher regions in the upcoming days.
