Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday stated that the rainfall in multiple states is going to stop in the upcoming two to three days, adding that the temperature is likely to significantly increase after that. The weather department stated that the weather conditions in several states, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, are likely to change. However, it also clarified that some of the southern states will continue receiving light to heavy rainfall for a few more days, leading to a dip in the temperature. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.
While providing details, the IMD stated that the temperature of Delhi-NCR is expected to significantly increase after June 6. The weather department stated that the temperature will reach up to 42 degrees by June 10, further advising the residents of the national capital to follow the updates.
It stated that while the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the minimum temperature remained around 24.7 degrees Celsius, 2.2 degrees below normal temperature. The weather department stated that the weather in Uttar Pradesh has significantly changed in the past few days.
It stated that the effect of rain and strong wind has been witnessed by several districts, including the capital, Lucknow. While the rainfall has provided relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to three degrees Celsius, it led to other issues like waterlogging and power outages.

The IMD stated that multiple districts of Uttar Pradesh are likely to witness rainfall till June 6, but the weather conditions will change after that. It stated that the series of rains would stop completely in the state on June 6. However, several southern states, including Karnataka and Kerala, are likely to continue witnessing rainfall for a few more days.
