Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the northern states are set to witness fresh rainfall in the upcoming days. The weather department stated that along with the rainfall, the northern states will continue to witness cold waves and fog. The hilly regions are set to receive snowfall for the next few days, leading to a further drop in the temperature. The presence of fog has severely affected the visibility, disrupting the flight and train services.
Delhi Weather
The weather department stated that the national capital will witness light rain in the later parts of the day. The residents will witness fog and a cold wave in the first few hours. The rainfall is likely to continue at least till February 2, leading to a further drop in the temperature. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 21 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 12 degrees Celsius.
Light Rain In Northern States
The weather department stated that along with rainfall, several parts of Haryana and Punjab are also set to witness lightning and hailstorms for the next two to three days. While the western parts of Uttar Pradesh are set to receive light rain, the eastern regions will continue to witness cold waves and fog. The IMD stated that Bihar will witness similar weather conditions at least till February 5.
Snowfall In Hilly Regions
The hilly regions of Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh are set to witness snowfall due to a western disturbance. The plain districts of these states are also set to witness light rain, leading to a further drop in the temperature. The IMD has advised the tourists to follow the guidelines and plan their travel to avoid any inconveniences.
