Cold temperatures have begun to set in across North India, with the mercury dropping in Delhi and a further decrease in minimum temperatures expected in the coming days. Despite this, the maximum temperature remained above normal due to clear skies and sunlight during the day, resulting in a warm afternoon.
According to the weather department, on Wednesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 27.3°C, which is 1°C higher than normal. The minimum temperature was 10.4°C, which is considered normal. The lowest minimum temperature of 9.4°C was recorded at Lodhi Road. Due to light fog, visibility near Safdarjung at 7 am was just 900 meters, but it improved to 1,600 meters by 8:30 am. On the previous day, Delhi had a maximum temperature of 26.7°C and a minimum of 11.9°C.

The India Meteorological Department has also predicted the formation of a cyclone, which will weaken into a deep depression and reach the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast by the morning of November 30. Several areas, including Tiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi, Muthupettai, Mailaduthurai and Vedaranyam, have reported paddy crops being partially or fully submerged in water.
