Snowfall in the upper areas has been massively contributing to the spells of cold waves in the lower regions as parts of north India continue to reel under cold weather conditions. There is no respite from cold wind even after bright sunshine during the daytime.

In Delhi NCR as well, the weather patterns keep fluctuating due to sunshine during the day and cold winds in the morning. People are taking the help of bonfires to escape the cold.

Besides cold waves, people in several parts of north India are bearing the brunt of rain and fog. As per the weather department, there will not be fog on Wednesday but cold waves will continue to cause the trouble. It predicted clear weather and bright sunshine in Delhi throughout the day.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong winds with a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour on Wednesday and Thursday. The maximum and the minimum temperatures in Delhi are expected to remain at 21 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively.

Bihar has been witnessing severe cold due to incessant rain for the last two days. When the downpour ceased, people were reeling under harsh cold winds in the region. It is expected that the maximum temperature may fall up to two degrees Celsius. However, people may get relief from the bone-chilling cold after February 12.

As per the weather department, rain could drench regions including Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab. Light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected in Arunachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. With this, light to moderate rain may occur in Meghalaya, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland. At the same time, light rain is possible in some places in West Bengal.
