Weather Updates: The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain to lash Delhi for three days from Wednesday to Friday. IMD has also issued a yellow alert for all three days. Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail till August 19. The weather body further said that light to moderate rainfall is expected in West and Central India till August 19. Scattered to widespread light/moderate rainfall is expected in South Peninsular India during the same time.

Delhi Weather Today

As per the weather department, clouds will remain in circulation throughout the day on Wednesday. There are also chances of thunderstorms, lightning and light to moderate rainfall. The maximum and minimum temperatures will stay aroundn 33 and 26 degrees, respectively. IMD said in its weather forecast that the conditions will remain more or less the same on Thursday and Friday as well. The temperature may fall further to 32 and 25 degrees, respectively on these two days. The weather may also disrupt the celebration of Independence Day on Thursday, August 15.

Heavy Rain In THESE UP Districts Today

Monsoon is active in UP and good rain is being witnessed in the cities. Heavy rain occurred in many districts of UP on Monday. Rain is likely to occur in eastern Uttar Pradesh including Ghazipur, Kanpur and Sant Ravidas Nagar. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in entire UP for the next three days.

Yellow Alert In THESE districts

Monsoon is active in Bihar due to which heavy rain is being witnessed in many districts including the capital city Patna. This time, on the occasion of Independence Day, August 15, there is a possibility of heavy rain in five districts. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in four districts: Gopalganj, Kaimur, East and West Champaran during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light rain with cloudy weather in Patna and surrounding areas.

Yellow Alert In Uttarakhand

Monsoon rains are continuing in Uttarakhand. There are chances of showers in some parts of the state amidst cloudy sky, today. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this. In Dehradun, heavy showers are continuing along with clouds gathering in the morning and evening.

According to the weather body, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain may occur in some places in Haryana,parts of eastern and northern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Kerala, interior Tamil Nadu, South Karnataka, South Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from these states, light to moderate rains are possible in Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast India, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Along with this, light rain is expected in Saurashtra and Kutch, Maharashtra, southern coast of Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, Ladakh and western Rajasthan.
