Digha Cleanliness Drive: Digha is a favorite place for Bengalis. Several festivals, including Durga Puja, are coming soon. Digha will be swamped with visitors. The management made a special effort to maintain Digha clean and beautiful despite the large number of tourists.
According to the most recent report, the government and administration are working hard to transform Digha, the major tourist centre in East Medinipur, into a world-class tourist destination. Tourists gathered in Digha on numerous festival days after Corona.
According to various reports, between one and a half to two lakh tourists visit Digha on a variety of occasions. The number of tourists in Digha is rising, as is the fleet of unclean rubbish.
When they get the chance to visit the seaside during work, people from all walks of life are drawn to its endless allure. To entice more tourists to Digha, the travel-loving Bengali Goa, the state has implemented several measures.
Administration officials believe that clean tourism destinations are the only way to attract visitors. In addition to visitors from inside the state, visitors from other countries also discover a clean atmosphere in the tourist centre.
Digha is now seeing an increase in the number of international visitors. Transparency is therefore prioritised throughout the area. The administration is working to improve Digha's aesthetics.
There will be no more nasty rubbish around. The administration is proactive in this respect. The Digha Shankarpur Development Board has made efforts to prevent unclean waste from being dumped around in Digha. Tourists and local shopkeepers have been urged to place filthy garbage in designated dustbins. Digha has been placed under the Waste Management Scheme to ensure its cleanliness. In addition, administrative sources have confirmed that cleaning activities would be performed at specific times of the day to maintain the Digha clean throughout Puja, reported News18.
