According to the most recent report, the government and administration are working hard to transform Digha, the major tourist centre in East Medinipur, into a world-class tourist destination. Tourists gathered in Digha on numerous festival days after Corona.

According to various reports, between one and a half to two lakh tourists visit Digha on a variety of occasions. The number of tourists in Digha is rising, as is the fleet of unclean rubbish.

When they get the chance to visit the seaside during work, people from all walks of life are drawn to its endless allure. To entice more tourists to Digha, the travel-loving Bengali Goa, the state has implemented several measures.

Tourists and local shopkeepers have been urged to place filthy garbage in designated dustbins. Digha has been placed under the Waste Management Scheme to ensure its cleanliness. In addition, administrative sources have confirmed that cleaning activities would be performed at specific times of the day to maintain the Digha clean throughout Puja, reported News18.
