Cockroach Janata Party: A statement from the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant has led to the latest political movement in the country- the Cockroach Janata Party. The satirical movement was launched a day after the CJI stated that a section of unemployed youth was targeting the institutions via social media platforms, further calling them "cockroach". While reacting to his remarks, a section of youth, mostly Gen Z, launched the movement across the social media platforms.
Abhijeet Dipke, a media professional, founded the Cockroach Janata Party and surprisingly received a massive response within days. The movement has got over four million followers on Instagram within three days of its establishment. Dipke stated that while he created the pages on a lighter note, the responsibility has increased due to the overwhelming support from the youth.

While talking about the movement, Dipke stated that those in power criticise the citizens but are unable to provide better facilities. "Those in power think citizens are cockroaches and parasites. They should know that cockroaches breed in rotten places. That's what India is today," Dipke stated.
However, he clarified that the movement will not take the violent path, adding that they will continue as per the rules of the constitution.
