Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar has been embroiled in a controversy after a viral video of him arguing with IPS Officer Anjana Krishna has gone viral.
In the video, Ajit Pawar was seen having a heated exchange with Krishna, over a phone call, shouting, “I am the Deputy Chief Minister speaking. Stop the action. Should I take action against you? Do you have so much daring?” Krishna failed to recognise the voice of Ajit Pawar, infuriating the Deputy Chief Minister even further.
What Happened In Solapur?
According to reports, Anjana Krishna was supervising actions against illegal excavations in the Kurdu village on August 31. To contain the situation from spinning out, the local NCP leader, Baba Jagtap, went to the Kurdu village and tried to stop the supervisors.
Seeing the IPS officer remain unfazed, Jagtap called Ajit Pawar and handed the phone to the IPS officer. In the call, Pawar instructed her to stop the action. However, IPS Officer Anjana Krishna remained unhinged by the threat and said, “Please call me on my number.”
This enraged Pawar, and he remarked, “Should I take action against you? Do you have so much daring? Give me your number, I am making a video call. You'll recognise me on video call, won't you?” Subsequently, he connected with her through a video call and asked her to stop the action.
