Kulwinder Kaur, a CISF constable posted at Chandigarh Airport, reportedly slapped Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actor and newly elected BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. The incident occurred at Chandigarh airport when Ranaut was in the security check area. Kaur, who appeared to be upset with Kangana Ranaut over her controversial remark on the farmers' protests, has been suspended, and an FIR was lodged against her.

The "Queen" actor posted a video titled "Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab" on X and said she was safe and fine. Sharing details of the incident, Ranaut said the CISF constable came towards her from the side and hit her in the face. "She hit me in the face and started abusing me. I asked her why she did it, and she said she supports the farmer protests," a newly elected BJP MP said.

Who Is Kulwinder Kaur?

- Kulwinder Kaur, a 35-year-old constable, joined the CISF in 2009 and has been serving with the aviation security group at Chandigarh Airport since 2021.

- Hailing from Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab, she has been stationed at Chandigarh Airport for the past two years. Her husband is also a CISF personnel working at the same airport.

- The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) suspended the lady constable after she allegedly slapped actress Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport.

- "We have given a complaint at the local police station against the concerned lady constable. She has been suspended with immediate effect and an inquiry has been ordered into the matter," the officer said as quoted by news agency ANI.

- According to officials, she has maintained a clean record in the force, with no vigilance inquiries or punishments against her to date.

Kangana Ranaut Wins Mandi Lok Sabha Seat

Ranaut defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi by a margin of 74,755 votes on Tuesday. She garnered 5,37,022 votes while Singh got 4,62,267 votes, according to the latest data from the Election Commission of India. The Mandi constituency holds symbolic significance for the Congress, as it is considered a bastion of the Virbhadra family.
