Suchana Seth's Husband Informed
Seth, originally from West Bengal, resides in Bengaluru, while her husband, who is from Kerala, is currently in Indonesia and has been notified about the incident, said Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Nidhin Valsan.
What Is The Case?
Suchana Seth and her son checked into a service apartment in North Goa's Candolim on January 6. Calangute police station inspector Paresh Naik said that after a brief stay, Seth informed the apartment staff of her intention to travel to Bengaluru for work. Despite the staff suggesting a more economical flight option, Seth insisted on taking a taxi. On January 8, she departed for Bengaluru in an arranged vehicle. However, after blood stains were discovered in her room by the cleaning staff, Calangute Police was immediately informed.
The staff also reported the absence of Seth's four-year-old son and the unusual weight of her bag. Upon inquiry, Seth claimed the blood stains were from her monthly periods and provided an address for her son in Margao town, South Goa. The police, discovering the address was false, contacted the taxi driver en route to Bengaluru. In Chitradurga district, Karnataka, the police found the child's body in Seth's bag. A Calangute Police team obtained a transit remand and brought the accused back to Goa. The incident has been communicated to the accused's husband, Venkat Raman, currently in Jakarta.
