Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswasti, director of a private engineering institute, has been booked for allegedly molesting 17 female students in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj. He is currently absconding and was last located near Agra, Delhi Police said.
According to police, a complaint was filed at the Vasant Kunj North police station on August 4 by an administrator of the institution against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alleging sexual harassment of female students.
Who Is Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati?
Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarthy, serves as the Executive Director (Administration) at the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management Research, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. He is also a revered monk (saint) of the Sanatana Vedic Tradition under the Arsha Vidya Order of the Adi Shankara lineage.
Before embracing spiritual life, Shri R. Parthasarathy had a distinguished professional career spanning over three decades in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Government of India, where he retired as a Class I, Group A Gazetted Officer (Deputy Superintendent of Police).
Between 2007 and 2012, he was deputed to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, serving as Manager (Vigilance). In this role, he handled complaints, conducted enquiries, initiated departmental actions, and coordinated with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
Ashram Administration Cut Ties
For the past two decades, he has been serving at the Lotus Feet of the Pontiffs of Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasansthanam, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, where he held the position of Chairman of its International Research Foundation of Global Repute in New Delhi. However, following the recent accusations, the ashram administration has relieved him of his responsibilities and is extending full cooperation with the investigation.
32 Female Students Recorded Statement
During the enquiry, statements of 32 female students were recorded, of which 17 accused him of using abusive language, sending obscene WhatsApp and SMS messages, and making unwanted physical contact. The victims also alleged in their complaint that certain women faculty members and administrative staff pressured them to comply with the accused’s demands.

Police seized Volvo Car During Investigation
As part of the investigation, police seized a luxury red Volvo car belonging to the accused, which was parked in the basement of the institution. The vehicle carried a fake United Nations number plate (39 UN 1). Authorities later confirmed that the number was never issued by the UN and had been fabricated by Chaitanyananda Saraswati.
