K Armstrong Death: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Tamil Nadu chief K Armstrong was allegedly hacked to death by a six-member gang near his residence in Chennai on Friday. The two-wheeler-borne gang attacked Armstrong, a former councillor of Chennai Corporation, near his Perambur residence in Chennai inflicting grievous injuries on him. The attackers fled the spot after injuring him. The BSP state president was rushed to a hospital for treatment, however, he died on the way, police said. The police stated that they had launched a hunt to trace out and nab the accused.
Reacting to the incident, BSP supremo Mayawati demanded the Tamil Nadu government to ‘punish the guilty’. “The gruesome killing of Mr. K. Armstrong, Tamil Nadu state Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president, outside his Chennai house is highly deplorable and condemnable. An advocate by profession, he was known as a strong Dalit voice in the state. The state Govt. must punish the guilty,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
