Bengaluru: In a shocking betrayal of a decade-long friendship, a man was allegedly murdered by his childhood friend after the latter fell in love with his wife. The incident took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, where two friends who had grown up and lived together since childhood had a falling out, ultimately ending in murder. Police investigations have revealed a love triangle as the motive.
The body of 39-year-old Vijay Kumar was found inside a house. His childhood friend, Dhananjay alias Jai, has been named as the prime suspect. The two had grown up together in Magadi, Bengaluru. Vijay, who worked in real estate, married a woman named Asha, and the couple had been living in Kamakshipalya.
According to Jagran.com and the Bengaluru Police, Vijay recently discovered that his wife Asha was in a relationship with Dhananjay. He reportedly caught them red-handed and also found photos of them together. Despite confronting both, Vijay decided to give his marriage another chance.
Dead Body Found In Room
After learning about the affair, Vijay moved with Asha to a rented house in Machohalli near Kadabagere, hoping that distance would end the illicit relationship. However, that didn’t happen.

On the day of the incident, Vijay did not step out of the house. Later, his body was discovered in one of the rooms. Police suspect that Asha and Dhananjay conspired to murder him. Asha has been taken into custody for questioning, while Dhananjay is currently absconding. A search operation is underway.
