X Down: The social media platform X (formerly Twitter), is facing a major disruption for thousands of users in India. The users have complained of several key issues in the core functions, including logging in, uploading new posts, and commenting. As per the Downdetector, the site which tracks outage by collecting the data, 11,500 users have complained of facing an issue while using X as of 5.15 pm (IST).
While 47 per cent of the users have registered complain regarding feed issues, 30 per cent of the complain has been registered for the website. Thousands of other users have also pointed out the issues regarding the Server Connection, the Downdetector stated.
While the exact reasons behind the outage is not know yet, the services of Cloudflare, a web infrastructure company, was also disrupted; however, it was not clear whether the outage was related. "We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly," the firm said in its statement, reported Reuters.
Cloudflare quickly acknowledged the situation, stating it was “aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers.” The company did not immediately specify the cause, but said more details would follow as the investigation progressed.
