YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra: In a fresh twist to the ongoing YouTuber case, a photo circulating online has taken the investigation in a new direction. Just two days after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, a man was seen carrying a cake into the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi. While he remained silent when confronted by reporters, the man quietly entered the premises. The same individual has now been spotted in an old video with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who has been booked under the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for allegedly passing sensitive information to Pakistani operatives, as reported by Times Now.

According to the investigation, Jyoti Malhotra had visited Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir in early 2025, just months before the deadly terror attack that took 26 lives. Around the same time, she also travelled to Pakistan, raising suspicions among investigators that the two trips may be connected. Agencies are now looking into whether there is a direct link between her travel to these two places, Times Now reported.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Hisar Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan stated, "Modern warfare is not only fought on the borders. We have found that Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs) are recruiting social media influencers to peddle their narratives. We received this input from agencies. They were developing her (Jyoti Malhotra) as an asset. She was in touch with the PIOs. She used to go to Pakistan. She also visited China. She had visited Pakistan before the Pahalgam attack."

He further added, "The investigation is on to establish linkages between these two visits, if there are any. We are also investigating, as we have leads that other people were also involved with her."

As per the FIR, Jyoti reportedly came into contact with one Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, at the Pakistan High Commission in 2023 when she went there to apply for a visa. During her two trips to Pakistan, she also met Danish’s associate, Ali Ahwan, who arranged her stay. Ahwan reportedly facilitated a meeting between Jyoti and Pakistani Security and Intelligence personnel, where she was introduced to two individuals identified as Shakir and Rana Shahbaz. Notably, Shahbaz’s phone number was saved in Jyoti’s mobile contacts as ‘Jatt Randhawa’, according to the FIR.
