The Jharkhand cabinet has approved a 4 per cent increase in the remuneration of teachers and non-teaching staff at all Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and 57 Jharkhand Balika Awasiya Vidyalayas. This hike will benefit 1,132 teachers and 1,015 non-teaching staff, with existing salaries currently up to Rs 32,000 for teachers and Rs 25,000 for non-teaching personnel.
In addition to salary revisions, the cabinet sanctioned Rs 116.54 crore for the construction of a residential school building in Bokaro district, modelled on the Netarhat Residential School. Compensation approvals were also granted for families affected by the MGM Medical College hospital collapse in Jamshedpur.

The cabinet further approved rehabilitation measures for 780 families from seven villages in the submergence area of the Shaheed Nilambar-Pitambar North Koel Reservoir Project (Mandal Dam) within the Palamu Tiger Reserve core area. Each family will receive Rs 15 lakh and one acre of land.
Other key approvals include:
-Rs 68.90 crore for the Sahebganj Urban Water Supply Scheme.
-Rs 86.51 crore for the 132 kV Binod Bihari ChowkMahuda transmission line, with funds released in the current financial year.
-Rs 154.17 crore for the 132 kV Baliapur–Tundi transmission line.
-Rs 78.79 crore for the 132 kV Chandankiyari ITI Mod–Chas transmission line.

-271.92 acres of Gairmajarua land in West Singhbhum transferred to the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department for compensatory afforestation, replacing forest land diverted for the Chakla coal block, with Rs 29.40 crore paid by M/s Hindalco Industries Limited.
-Approval for the service extension of assistant police personnel.
These decisions aim to enhance education, infrastructure, energy transmission, water supply, and rehabilitation measures across Jharkhand.
