The Ranchi Ring Boring Owner Association held a special meeting on Wednesday at a site in Sukurhuttu, Ring Road, under the chairmanship of President Mahesh Chandra. During the discussions, members expressed concern over the continuously rising costs of labour, operators, hammer bits, and spare parts for boring machines. The association also highlighted the increasing demand for employment due to the rapid growth in construction activity and the rising number of machines in the city. To address this, the body committed to giving priority to local labourers from Jharkhand, aiming to curb the outflow of workers from the state.

All attendees agreed to implement the revised rates and take concrete steps to ensure the welfare of labourers.
