In a major breakthrough, the Ranchi Police have solved the case involving the murderous attack on Radheshyam Sahu, a prominent cement and steel businessman and owner of Shambhavi Enterprises at Kathal Mor. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested the main shooter, identified as Chandan Kumar.

Arrest Following Secret Tip-Off

Acting on a secret tip-off that the accused was travelling from Dhanbad to his ancestral home in Murkunda, the police laid a trap and apprehended him en route. During interrogation, Kumar confessed to the crime and exposed a deep-rooted conspiracy behind the attack.

Contract Killing For Rs 3 Lakh

Interrogation revealed that a contract of Rs 300,000 had been issued for Radheshyam Sahu's murder. The shooters had already received Rs 50,000 as an advance payment. Chandan disclosed that he, along with an accomplice, executed the attack on October 15. On that day, they opened indiscriminate fire on the businessman, leaving him critically injured. Sahu survived solely due to the prompt response of locals and timely medical intervention.

Land Dispute Suspected As Motive

The police suspect a land dispute to be the primary motive behind the assassination attempt. Sahu's son, Sajjan Kumar, had previously filed a case at the Nagdi police station against land dealers Purushottam and Shashi Shekhar, among others. Investigators are now probing links between these past disputes and the current attack.

Manhunt For Mastermind Underway

Shooter Chandan Kumar has revealed the identity of the mastermind who issued the contract. However, the police have withheld the name to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation. Raids are currently being conducted at various hideouts to capture the mastermind and the second shooter who is still absconding.

Police officials have affirmed that all individuals involved—whether white-collar conspirators or professional criminals, will be brought to justice, and the full details of the conspiracy will be released once the main accused is in custody.
