Among the mass-market brands, Maruti Suzuki remained the most preferred, delivering around 250-300 vehicles, followed by Hyundai with 100-150. Mahindra and Tata Motors recorded strong performances as well, with each brand delivering around 100-120 cars. Toyota sold 40-50 units, while Kia reported 30-40 deliveries. Honda and Skoda sold 10-12 cars each, and Volkswagen delivered 5-6 units.

Dealers attributed the robust demand to festive offers, reduced GST, and easy finance and EMI options. They said the rise in luxury car sales indicates a growing perception of cars as lifestyle and status symbols among urban buyers.

The city also saw a growing interest in electric vehicles. EV showrooms of Tata Motors and Mahindra were crowded with customers showing enthusiasm for models such as the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400. Experts said increasing environmental awareness, government subsidy schemes, and attractive finance plans are driving the EV trend.
